After a long (& slow!) development, we have at last officially launched SAM v1.
SAM stands for Service Agent Mapping (which includes Resellers).
SAM will be our new Reseller & Service Agent database. And most of final delay was exporting, and matching, and massaging, data from all the various systems we were using previously, and have now replaced with SAM.)
In this first release of SAM, you and your customers can search for Service Agents by various criteria, such as postcode and town, and see all current National Warranty Services Service Agents & Resellers mapped to their exact street address.
You and your customers can search by town, postcode and state. And comma-delimited searches are enabled in all fields, plus range searches for postcode.
The SAM location 'bubbles' are colour coded for different values of a changeable National Warranty Services-selected field.
On mouse roll-over, SAM displays the National Warranty Services ID, and Town & Postcode (no street address displayed), and other data.
By next week hopefully, Resellers & Service Agents will be able to login to SAM, and update all their details themselves at any time (there are quite a lot of fields of RS/SA information).
For existing Resellers, your NCS Instant Quotes System ID will be the same as your National Warranty Services & NWS IDA Warranty System ID, and your password will be the same as your NWS IDA Warranty System Admin password. For other Resellers & Service Agents, there will be an ID & Password Reminder function that you can use. Just enter your email address, SAM will look for a match in data, and send details to that email address if a match is found. Otherwise, call or email us (07 3117 0950 or resellers@).
In-house, National Warranty Services will use SAM in the Service Centre to locate the closest and best Service Agents for a job much, much faster and easier than previously. And National Warranty Services Business Development will use SAM to track and map our Resellers, and as our new CRM System.

NEW NWS IDA Warranty System FUNCTION. WHOLESALE WARRANTIES WON'T PRINT WHOLESALER'S DETAILS ON CERTIFICATE.
The fabulous NWS IDA Warranty System creates and prints individual personalised warranty Certificates for each warranty purchased, with all warranty, customer, and Reseller details.
However, we recently realised, after a call from a Reseller, that, if an 'instant' warranty is purchased by a Wholesaler for a Reseller, then NWS IDA Warranty System automatically prints the Wholesaler's details on the Certificate, which of course is definitely something that the Reseller wouldn't want.
So we have just added a new NWS IDA Warranty System feature so that, when a Wholesaler is making an 'instant' wholesale warranty purchase for a Reseller, they can stop their details being printed on the Certificate just by ticking a new tick box on NWS IDA Warranty System purchase form.

Improvements to Discount Warranty Price Rounding.
Previously NWS IDA Warranty System (tried to) round prices (after any discount) to nearest 0.50c. However, coders have had a problem getting that to be consistent. Sometimes with same price it would go up, sometimes down. So to simplify both pricing and coding, we are going to truncate each discount to whole dollars before it is taken off cost price.
This has the benefit of being simple and of meaning the Ex GST price after discount/s is in nice whole dollars. Which further means that the Inc GST price is in nice 10c increments with no cents or fractions of a cent.
'Mates Rates' Discount Information added to Sales Emails & Reports.
Now in your Sales Confirmation emails, and in your NWS IDA Warranty System Sales Reports, the $$$ and % for the 'Mates Rates' is displayed or included for each warranty purchase.
This makes it much easier to understand for you and us.
Improvements to Sales Confirmation Email.
The format and the information in the NWS IDA Warranty System Sales Confirmation email has been made more comprehensive and improved. For example, the warranty period is now included in Subject line.
Improvements to Warranty Certificates & Special Offers Printing
For ages we have had on-going problems with page feed and format with the printing of warranty certificate and Special Offer pages. WE had page feeds we didn't want and we had issues like RHS text truncation.
Almost all these issues have been fixed now. The only thing that is still to be fixed is the extra page feed at the end of printing each warranty.
You should have already noticed that the NWS IDA Warranty System Sales Confirmation email comes with a PDF of the Warranty Certificate (and the special Offers).
The Special Offers are mainly to help create more service business for you, and secondly, to try to add some additional value to warranty price.
If you want to, you can TURN OFF the Special Offers in your NWS IDA Warranty System Admin module.
Bug in Server Warranty Price range Fixed.
There was a bug in server warranties that meant the price range was not correctly displayed (but displayed as a code). This has been fixed.
Enhancements to your RRP Retail Calculations.
Applies to and is used in the RETAIL SHOP module only.
Previously, in your NWS IDA Warranty System Admin Module, you could set retail 'mark-ups' for the Retail Shop' and Retail On-line NWS IDA Warranty System versions for each Product Category and/or each Warranty.
Because of the coming of 000's of 'ad hoc' warranties very soon, this has been simplified & improved.
Now you can set a % mark-up over cost by each individual Product Category, and/or set individual product RRPs (not mark-ups as previously). Individual product RRPs will over-ride any Category % setting.
This will enable you to set am single % mark-up for each 'ad hoc' warranty Product Categories.
